Niels Bohr
Hello there. My name is Niels Bohr. When I was a little boy, my head was always full of questions. I loved to look at the world around me and ask, 'Why?' and 'How?'. I grew up in a place called Denmark. My father was a professor who loved science, and he taught me to always be curious and keep asking questions.
I thought a lot about the teeny-tiny things that make up everything in the world. They are called atoms, and they are so small you can't even see them. I had a big idea that an atom was like a tiny solar system. I imagined little bits called electrons zooming around the center, just like planets zoom around the sun. For this idea, I was given a very special prize in the year 1922.
I loved sharing my ideas with friends and students from all over the world. We would talk and ask questions together. My whole life was one big, exciting adventure of discovery. I lived to be 77 years old. People remember me today because my questions helped us understand the tiny building blocks of our amazing world.
