The Story of Achilles
Hello. My name is Achilles. I lived a long, long time ago in a sunny place called Greece. My mother was named Thetis, and she was a magical sea nymph who lived in the water. Even when I was a little boy, I was known for being very special. I was very strong, and I could run faster than anyone. I loved to race and play, and I was always the fastest one. Being strong and fast was a wonderful gift, and I was proud to be a hero.
When I grew up, I went on a very big adventure to help my friends. This adventure was called the Trojan War. We sailed on big ships across the bright blue water to a city called Troy. I was a warrior, which meant I was a helper for my friends. I wore shiny armor that gleamed in the sun. It was my job to be brave and strong for everyone. I wanted to be a hero who helped people who were in need, and this was my chance to be courageous.
My adventure at Troy was the last part of my story. After my time there, my story on earth came to an end. But people have not forgotten me. For thousands of years, grown-ups and children have told stories about my bravery and my great strength. People remember me as a great hero from Greece who was strong, fast, and always courageous. It is always good to be remembered for being a brave helper.
