Eva Perón

Hello. My name is Eva. I was a little girl from a country called Argentina. When I was young, I loved to play pretend. I dreamed about being an actress. I wanted to stand on a big, bright stage. I also wanted my voice to be on the radio, so everyone could hear me. It was a very big dream for a little girl.

When I grew up, I moved to a big city called Buenos Aires. There, I met my husband, Juan. One day, Juan became the leader of our whole country. I knew I wanted to help him and help all our people. I loved helping people who did not have very much. It made me happy to see them smile. I helped make sure that children had new toys to play with. I also helped families find safe homes to live in and have good food to eat. Helping them was my favorite thing to do.

The people were so kind to me. They gave me a special nickname, 'Evita.' Evita means 'Little Eva,' and it was a name full of love. My most important job was not being an actress, but helping people. Helping others and being kind is something we can all do. I lived a life full of love from the people I helped. And after I was gone, people remembered me for the care I showed them.
